Volunteer Pilot Agreement

This Volunteer Pilot Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the undersigned volunteer pilot (“Pilot”) and Flight 316, Inc. and Pilots for Christ International Georgia Chapter (collectively referred to as the “Organizations”).


1. Purpose: The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which the Pilot volunteers to conduct flights for charitable purposes in coordination with the Organizations.


2. Pilot in Command: The Pilot agrees and acknowledges that:

  • The Pilot will serve as the Pilot in Command (PIC) on all volunteer flights.

  • All flights will be operated strictly under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 91.

  • The Pilot is solely responsible for the safety, operation, and conduct of each flight.


3. No Compensation: The pilot agrees not to accept any form of compensation, reimbursement, or payment for any volunteer flight. These flights are conducted solely on a volunteer, non-commercial basis and are not for hire.


4. Aircraft Responsibility: The Pilot is solely responsible for ensuring:

  • The aircraft used (whether owned or rented) meets all applicable airworthiness requirements.

  • All necessary maintenance, inspections, and documentation are current and compliant.


5. Insurance: The Pilot affirms they carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance coverage for the aircraft used in any volunteer flight.


6. Limitation of Liability: The Pilot understands and agrees that:

  • The Organizations act only as a referral or coordinating entity to help source and match flight opportunities.

  • The Organizations do not supervise, control, direct, or operate any flight.

  • The Organizations shall have no liability or responsibility for any claim, demand, loss, damage, or injury, including death, resulting from any volunteer flight conducted by the Pilot.

  • We request that aircraft owners and non aircraft owners include Flight 316 and Pilots for Christ, Intl as "additionally insured" onto their aircraft policy.


7. Indemnification: The Pilot agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Flight 316, Inc. and Pilots for Christ Intl Georgia Chapter, their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to any flight conducted under this Agreement.


8. Voluntary Participation: The Pilot understands participation is entirely voluntary and may be discontinued at any time by either party with written notice.
